Coaches Training

Coaching Baseball

If you are a seasoned baseball coach, you probably have your own methods and resources.  But if you are new to managing or coaching baseball, this page is intended to help you get started with tips, techniques, and drills to help you run better practices and help our kids get the most out of their SMLLA baseball experience.

For new T-Ball, Single A, and Cal League coaches, check out the links on this page from Little League University for some good age-appropriate drills and practice plans for your teams.   We would also suggest that you talk to your Commissioner, along with Managers from the older divisions.  They can provide guidance if you need help.

Lastly, there is a ton of information on YouTube and other internet sites.  Find what works for you.  Don't be afraid to try something new.  If a new drill doesn't work out, that's totally fine.  You are learning along with the players.

SMLLA is on YOUTUBE

Check out the below playlist of instructional videos from our partners at Starting Line Up Training Facility (featuring SMLLA players).  We also have other instructional videos posted on the SMLLA YouTube Channel.  See all of the videos
