Thanks to our volunteer Scorekeepers at Trinta, right behind home plate. Your role in keeping spectators informed and helping managers with pitch counts is invaluable.
A SMLLA Board Member will open the Scorer's Booth and activate the Scoreboard before each game. After all the day's games, they will switch off the Scoreboard, lock the Scorer's Booth, and ensure the Scoreboard console and microphone are inside before games begin.
All scorebooks, pitch count sheets, and pencils are kept in the Boardroom (above the Trinta Snack Bar). If you're the last game of the day, ensure everything is returned to the Boardroom promptly after your game. The Pitch Count folders, organized by team name, are in the drawers; please put the pitch count sheets in the respective folders.

Responsibilities:
Keep the Score, Balls/Strikes/Outs, Inning, and Pitch Counts current on the Scoreboard to keep our fans in the bleachers informed. Instructions for Scoreboard Operators is here.
The Announcer is responsible for announcing each batter as they come to the plate and the Pitcher/Catcher at the beginning of the game or when a new Pitcher/Catcher is substituted into the game. This role can be filled by a child with adult supervision. More information on best practices is here.
While not the official "Scorekeeping App of SMLLA," many of our teams choose to use GameChanger as a supplement for scorekeeping. Please remember that Paper Scorebooks & Pitch Counts are still necessary. GameChanger is excellent for team organization, statistics, and live in-game scoring for remote parents and family. For more information, visit the GameChanger website.
